Kid Kelly: Radio Hall of Famer & Music Visionary
Your host, Kid Kelly, is a Radio Hall of Famer and multiple Billboard Award-winning air personality who’s been programming and hosting since the show’s debut in December 1992. Kid grew up in Brooklyn, New York and has worked as a DJ at many stations including Z100 New York, WKSE Buffalo, WBHT Wilkes Barre and SiriusXM Hits 1!
Kid Kelly: The Beginning
Kid started his radio career earning a salary of just $130 dollars a month, sleeping in a 1970 Chevy Nova bought for $200 and eating a steady diet of chicken wings – all while moving up and down the East Coast hoping his paycheck wouldn't bounce.
Since those days, Kid came a long way. He dominated nights at KISS 98.5/Buffalo with an unheard of 65 share. (For the non radio people - that means he had really high ratings!) He then made three separate appearances at then Top-40/Pop powerhouse Z100/ New York. First as the No.1 rated personality in his nighttime slot in the late ‘80s, then as assistant program director in the mid 90’s and lastly, as Operations Manager in the late ‘90s.
It was from that fabric work of a experiences that Backtrax USA was born...

Pioneering Backtrax USA
In the early '90s, Kid created and began hosting Backtrax USA, the first nationally syndicated '80s radio program.
Over the years Backtrax USA has been syndicated on hundreds of stations across the country, transporting listeners right back to the decade of excess - without all the Aquanet fumes and unsolvable Rubix Cubes!
And now it's time for the next chapter: The 80's Backtrax App! A 24/7 time machine of everything you love about the 80's : the movies, tv shows, major headlines and the MUSIC!
